Inclusive by design

When hiring decisions are based on a subjective judgement or an unconscious feeling, it’s harder to achieve an inclusive workforce and culture. That’s why we’ve created rigorous processes that are objective and unbiased. 

By replacing instinctive decision-making with transparent, systematised methods, we ensure that inclusion is the foundation of our approach to recruitment. Time and again, it results not only in more diverse workplaces, but more successful ones.

How we make a difference

As a member of the Employer’s Network for Equality & Inclusion (ENEI) in the UK, we emphasise ED&I throughout our recruitment processes on a global scale. Our selection matrix focuses on core competencies, and is weighted for the specific role in partnership with the hiring manager.

We also use Thomas International personal profile analysis to compile the most diverse shortlist possible, and encourage the use of anonymised shortlists. As part of the MRG induction, all of our staff undertake unconscious bias training.


In 2023 we progressed to the next level of the disability confident employer scheme and have moved from disability confident committed to a fully-fledged disability confident employer.

We are proud members of the Employer’s Network for Equality & Inclusion (ENEI) and are delighted with the diverse demographic of MRG staff, which currently has a 55/45 female-to-male ratio.

55% of those in senior management positions are female as well as 40% of our board.


Mindful Employer is a UK wide initiative run by Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Providing employers with easier access to professional Workplace Mental Health training, information and support, the initiative aims to help empower employers to take a lead in supporting the mental wellbeing of their staff.

By signing the ‘Charter for Employer Positive About Mental Health’, MRG have made a public statement of our desire to support the mental health of our staff across the organisation.


We recognise that in order to promote diverse and healthy workplace cultures, we have to live those values ourselves. We are working hard to create and continually nurture an environment where our people can bring their ‘whole self’ to work, feel valued at all times and supported during life’s challenging moments.
