Loughborough University is consistently placed highly in the guides and league tables on UK Universities. This is in recognition of its strength as a research-intensive university which also provides an exceptional student experience. The University has in excess of 17,000 students, over 3,200 staff and its main base is a superb 440 acre single-site campus, offering great facilities for every aspect of student life, with plenty of open space, gardens and sports areas, interspersed with academic buildings and student accommodation.
The University is seeking to make the appointment of an Electrical Building Services Engineer to lead the maintenance, management and operation of the electrical infrastructure across the University’s diverse estate portfolio. Responsible for an experienced in-house team and the management of a broad range of external contractors, the postholder will develop and lead the delivery of the strategy to ensure that the University’s infrastructure and systems are proactively maintained to the highest quality and regulatory standards.
Successful candidates will have gained recent experience in an electrical engineering role with responsibility for managing planned and reactive maintenance and compliance regimes. Strong technical skills are essential given the technical complexity and diversity of the electrical infrastructure across the estate.
We are seeking a customer focused individual who has strong interpersonal skills and the leadership skills required to inspire an internal team as well as a number of external delivery partners.
