Interim Head of Venues - Up to £60,000 Pro Rata

The Company

MRG are working with a leading Midlands based London higher education institution in their search for an Interim Head of Venues.

The Role

This role is both strategic and operational taking full accountability for the delivery of an industry leading venues portfolio.

This will include the strategic oversight of a venues programme designed to cater to staff, students and external clients, with a service to match expectations of these different stakeholders. Regular events can be up to 1000 guests, so management of medium to large sized teams is important in the success of this role.

The role also needs someone to be very familiar with the intricacies of health and safety policy, with a either a qualification in IOSH, NEBOSH or similar desirable.

Innovation and customer experience are fundamentals to this role. You will champion excellence and bring new ideas and initiatives. This role is a senior member of staff and will work in conjunction with a number of university internal and external stakeholders.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be passionate about devising and executing a high performing venues strategy alongside the events team on behalf of the university and working alongside the internal catering team to deliver this. Stakeholder management is key, with the desired candidate having the ability to manage upwards whilst still motivating and developing team members and managers.

Your passion for service delivery will be unrivalled, with a track record delivering this to a myriad of stakeholders with differing expectations in different settings.

The candidate will ideally have H+S safety qualification and have a strong understanding of health and safety requirements of venues and events.
