Closes: 13 December 2019

About the role

Interim Executives have been retained exclusively by a public sector client to urgently source and engage an Interim Programme Director (Urban Regeneration) for a 1-year rolling contract based in the Midlands. The programme is valued over £1bn.

Background

My client has identified a gap in capability and immediately needs to resource a suitable interim to take on a high-risk, high-profile and sensitive scheme. The role will be responsible for delivery of premium office, retail, hotel and leisure spaces alongside a world-class urban realm. This programme is running alongside another concurrent major programme nearby. With some projects completed and ready for handover and others still requiring funding and business case preparation, this is a multi-faceted role requiring a full range of skills and capabilities. The focus on expertise will be around infrastructure and regeneration projects

You will need to be

As an experienced Programme Director, you will have a strong background and track record in the delivery of large-scale urban regeneration and development schemes. This is commercial led, so experience and focus on office, hotel and leisure experience will be prioritised over residential or mixed-use schemes. You will have ideally having worked as Operations Director / Programme Director for £100m plus portfolio of construction projects , having held Director roles in blue chip main contracting, consultancy and government organisations and demonstrated experience in commercial and financial elements of JV structures including procurement, and the ‘front end’ delivery of design, construction, and asset management.

In return

In return, you will be able to have direct oversight and responsibility for one of the largest urban regeneration schemes in the country. You will be offered a long term contract so that you have the security to pick up the programme and deliver the next phase.
