Facilities Manager

Warwick Independent Schools Foundation comprises Warwick Preparatory School, Warwick Junior School, King’s High School, Warwick School and Kingsley School with the distinct aim of providing an outstanding, all-round education that helps each pupil maximise their potential.

The Foundation supports the Schools and Governors to attain excellence in education and school life by providing central management for facilities, finance, health and safety, human resources, governance and commercial services.

As of September 2019, the Foundation Schools (bar Kingsley School) are situated on one campus, together at Myton Road, with the foundation offices located in Warwick School.

The Role


The Foundation is seeking to appoint a Facilities Manager who will report directly to the Director of Estates and Operations. As a key leadership figure, you will lead the Facilities and transport functions across the sites. The post holder will oversee an in-house delivery team and will be fully responsible for the management of the facilities and the continuous improvement of the school’s buildings, grounds, sports pitches, gardens, site security, and cleaning functions. In addition, you will lead on the school transport services ensuring a high level of service for our pupils.

The foundation has ambitious plans for the future with a number of exciting projects underway, this a key role within the estates and operations team.

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of leading operational facilities services across a comparable portfolio; ideally in a similar front facing role. They will have extensive experience of the full range of soft facilities services including the successful management of both in-house teams and external contractors. Ideally with a qualification in a relevant facilities management discipline. As part of a small management team, it is imperative that the successful candidate possesses excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement. The role will only suit individuals with a high level of credibility and an in-built desire to drive standards through innovation and change management. They will also need to be self-reliant and confident administratively.
