Introduction

Warwick Independent Schools Foundation comprises Warwick Preparatory School, Warwick Junior School, King’s High School, Warwick School and Kingsley School with the distinct aim of providing an outstanding, all-round education that helps each pupil maximise their potential.

The Foundation supports the Schools and Governors to attain excellence in education and school life by providing central management for facilities, finance, health and safety, human resources, governance and commercial services.

As of September 2019, the Foundation Schools (bar Kingsley School) are situated on one campus, together at Myton Road, with the foundation offices located in Warwick School.

The Role

The Foundation is seeking to appoint a Director of Estates and Operations. Sitting centrally, this role will be tasked with leading, developing and ensuring efficient utilisation of an Estates and Facilities team that includes the key functions of Estates Management, Grounds, Transport, Cleaning Services and Catering Operations.

As a conduit between the Foundation and the Schools, you will provide strategic leadership and implement new and innovative approaches to ensure greater efficiencies and the highest quality of delivery - all of which will be underpinned by a strong service ethos.

Reporting to the Foundation Bursar, you will ensure the department is aligned to the broader objectives and visions of the Foundation as well as the masterplanning. The post requires strategic vision, management expertise and practical experience. It will also carry with it substantial budgetary responsibility.

The successful candidate will possess demonstrable experience of leading an estate across a comparable diverse portfolio and will ideally hold a relevant estates, property or facilities qualification.

You will be a strong communicator with extensive experience of instilling robust and efficient systems and processes to ensure operational effectiveness across a large in-house team. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to provide effective leadership and management on all Health, Safety & Environmental matters.

For a confidential discussion and/or further particulars, please contact our retained advisors Adam Spencer adam.spencer@mrgpeople.co.uk or Hayley Mintern hayley.mintern@mrgpeople.co.uk

The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) has been exclusively retained for this campaign. All direct and third-party applications will be forwarded to them.

The Warwick Independent Schools Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection training and screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
