The Management Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with Yeovil College to appoint their new Estates Operations Manager to deliver an outstanding estates and facilities function across the college.

Having served the local community for over 130 years, Yeovil College has been at the forefront of providing an outstanding educational environment for its 45000 full and part time students. It is an exciting time in the college’s history with the announcement of additional funding which in turn has allowed the college to redevelop its campus. With ambitious plans in place, the college plans to invest over £30m into the campus over the coming years, to renovate, redevelop and replace building on its site and create a best-in-class learning environment for their students for many decades to come.

The Estates Operations Manager will work very closely with the Head of Estates Operations in delivering an outstanding facilities and estates function across the college. You will be directly responsible for the leadership, motivation and development of the facilities and maintenance team, ensuring all works are carried out to the highest standards as well as keeping compliance and safety at the forefront. As well as ensuring operational excellence, you will be responsible for delivering on key estates and facilities initiatives and projects across the campus, often producing and presenting reports and key findings to senior management and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a strong and proven track record of leading an estates and facilities function across a comparable, live, high-footfall site. You will have the experience of delivering a best-in-class estates and facilities service, with customer experience at the heart of what you do. Your interpersonal skills will be world-class, and you will have strong leadership skills but also be personable and focused on developing people. You will be hands-on with your approach with a keen eye for detail, being able to identify areas of improvement not only with buildings and estates, but also with staff development. You will be a confident communicator, well adept at presenting your findings and recommendations to senior management.
