This niche sports equipment and sportswear company, Stag Cricket is seeking an ambitious individual to join their business to play a key role in the growth of the business. In addition to the main focus of their business, Stag Cricket have a number of other initiatives including charitable and social enterprises such as using local suppliers but more importantly establishing a foundation, offering a range of community programmes for children, teenagers and young adults who don’t normally have day to day access to cricket and other sports.

Due to the success of the business, they have established the need to grow the Stag team and are keen to appoint a fundraising partner to join the business. This role is offered initially on a part time basis with a view to be more involved as the business grows.

The initial responsibilities for the incoming individual will include fund raising, applying for grants both via Sports England and other funding grants be it from charitable organisations or local authorities. You will also be expected to build relationships with the England & Wales Cricket Board, private investors, local businesses and club and schools. You will be involved in the implementing the internal governance as well as any marketing initiatives. The suitable candidates will have a true passion for cricket or sports, with an entrepreneurial flair for driving a business forward, ideally you will also have a network, however it is essential that you have experience of grant applications. This opportunity is initially offered on a part time basis.
