Kingston University Service Company Ltd (KUSCO) was formed in 1997 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kingston University. It provides a range of facilities management services to the University. KUSCO supports a diverse range of buildings and occupations across a multi-site estate ranging from a leafy campus at Kingston Hill, to the main Kingston upon Thames Penrhyn Road campus and prestigious museum and conferencing facilities at Dorich House overlooking Richmond Park.

KUSCO is unusual in that it is a hybrid organisation. As a limited company sitting under a higher education umbrella it seeks to take advantage of the commercial freedoms available to it by operating as a private sector organisation, whilst aligning its objectives wholly to support its only client Kingston University. KUSCO aims to provide first class FM services at a commercially competitive price.

This is a new role designed to ensure that service delivery to customers is placed at the centre of all we do. As a member of the KUSCO Management Team, the post holder will be the custodian of Facilities relationships with external customers (faculties and department). The post holder will need to be a strong communicator at all levels, gain a full understanding of the University’s Corporate Strategy, and all faculty plans, and be able to articulate how the KUSCO Strategy supports the implementation of corporate objectives. The Senior Facilities Manager will take responsibility and ownership for approximately a third of the University estate portfolio, working closely with the two other Senior Facilities Managers in the team.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in comparable high public footfall environments and will possess a proven track record in the delivery of total facilities management. Ideally your career will be varied in working with both service providers and end users across both the private and public sector. You will be able to demonstrate success in creating and leading a culture of exceptional quality and innovation within a comparable customer focussed environment.
