Assistant Operations Manager

Student Roost are a provider of 24,000 student beds, across 20 university towns, spread across the UK. The residents are at the heart of their business, and they want to be in tune with their needs and demands, to enable them to thrive, whilst at university.

They are big on their people too, providing welcoming work environments, interesting roles and a raft of opportunities. They are putting major efforts into building a brand and an organisation that people want to work for, and they are excited about continuing their already great work in the coming months.

Overview

Student Roost’s Assistant Operations Managers are the magic ingredient they use to deliver an exceptional customer experience; they put the customer centre-stage and make sure the rest of the business does so too. They strive for customer retention and recommendation.

The Assistant Operations Manager will support the Senior Operations Manager in the day to day running of two Student Roost’s properties in Liverpool, leading the team to deliver an exceptional service; ensuring that their student experience is first class. You will take responsibility for ensuring they fill their properties all year round, with customers who want to stay year after year, creating a vibrant community.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess a track record in managing the operations across a comparable environment, ideally in student accommodation, hospitality or leisure. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong commercial ability. The role will suit individuals with a high level of credibility, team leadership and the capability to deliver excellence.
