Reporting to the Head of Student Immigration Compliance and Advice, the International Student Advisor is an exciting role at The University of Law and an opportunity for a professional with experience in providing advice on student immigration and visas to develop and implement a new service for our international body.

You will be offering specialist immigration advice to prospective and current students on Tier 4 and other immigration routes in line with Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner guidelines. You will be helping to develop and implement the service to fully support applicants and current students with student immigration and visa queries. This will include developing and implementing a regular drop in service and running advice sessions for students, developing policies and procedures, maintaining guidance and information available to students and, working with teams across the University to ensure the continual enhancement of student experience.

You will need to have previous experience of advising international students on UK study-related immigration and visas in a HEI or further education setting. will have detailed knowledge of Home Office regulations governing student migration and the ability to convey complex and sensitive information in an appropriate manner to different audiences. will be a team player with a keen eye for detail who is able to plan and prioritise a varied workload. will have excellent customer service skills but with the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
