MRG are working exclusively with Tandem Property Asset Management, a leading property management company who are seeking an Estate Manager to lead the Estate Management of Barking Riverside, a residential led mixed-use scheme and growing community of over 10,000 new homes in East London.

Tandem have taken over the Estate Management of Phase 1, known as ‘Rivergate’, including the public realm, the Rivergate Community Centre and the neighbourhood commercial units this summer. The team will also begin to work alongside BRL on ‘Phase 2’, where homes and facilities are currently being delivered in the Northgate area of the site.

Overlooking London’s iconic River Thames, Barking Riverside is founded on an ambitious vision for what placemaking can achieve.

One of the most exciting new developments in Europe, the project is transforming a 443-acre former industrial site into a new London district that everyone can be proud of.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead the Onsite Teams and develop management strategies.
  • To manage all operational aspects of the portfolio.
  • To provide a secure and safe environment for the residents, commercial tenants, and staff at the development.
  • To develop and maintain service orientated culture amongst the contracted service providers.
  • To support the development of activities to enhance the lifestyle of residents based around the communal facilities.
  • To manage and supervise the in-house staff (where applicable) and oversee the work of the in-house operations teams and external contractors.
  • To ensure the development is maintained to the standard commensurate with the client’s portfolio status and value.
  • To ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Policy for managed estates.

To excel in this role, you must have previous experience of managing a Mixed-Use Estate of comparable size and complexity and be able to demonstrate ability to manage relations with key stakeholders, communicating with external service providers, contractors, and deliver regular reports.

This is a great opportunity for someone with fantastic leadership and service delivery skills to make a career-defining leap, and helping to build a place where everyone feels a genuine sense of purpose, belonging and pride.
