We are working with a high profile and highly reputable property management company with an enviable client base. They are seeking to recruit a Director to Head up their Property Management Accounts team.

The successful candidate will have the challenge of overseeing all financial responsibilities of the property management department, including client reporting and service charge management and their reconciliation, as well as the processing of cash received and accounts payable. Without doubt this is a dynamic and challenging role and will suit an ambitious individual with the ability to utilise their well-honed communication and financial skills.

The role will suit an ambitious and experienced professional looking to excel in a fast-paced environment, while always looking to improve the service provided.

Some of the main duties of the role will include (but not limited to):

  • Management of a team of nine personnel including client facing personnel as well as back-office personnel
  • Hold regular departmental meetings to inform staff of developments as well as get feedback on key issues.
  • Responsible for the development of client reporting and overall responsibility for the timely production of client reporting.
  • Review of quarterly owner statements in accordance with agreed timescales.
  • Overall responsibility for the management of service charges, including budgeting and year-end reconciliation within agreed deadlines and audit liaison
  • Ensure that all tenant demands are raised on a timely basis, including rent, insurance, service charges etc.
  • Overall responsibility for the posting of all tenant payments and their recovery.
  • Overall management of client liaison regarding finance issues.
  • Overall responsibility for VAT matters in relation to managed properties.
  • Responsibility for general cash flow procedures for managed instructions.
  • Review and monitoring of the outstanding management fee invoices and ensuring action is taken in that regard.

The successful candidate should ideally have:

  • Impressive, demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s), at a similar level. Showing the ability to work to ambitious income/revenue targets
  • Tenacious and results driven with sound business judgement
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to prioritise, demonstrating first class organisational skills and time management skills.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
