A unique venue, on a semi-remote island within 30 minutes of a major European City is seeking to appoint a Property and Facilities Manager, to not only manage the physical assets of the property, but to drive the commercialisation of the Estate moving forward.

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with all aspects of property management, hard and soft facilities, and delivering the very highest of standards. Relevant FM/Engineering qualification required.

The candidate must speak fluent Croatian but should also be able to articulate technical property matters in plain English, manage external contractors and ensure the property is run smoothly. In addition, evidence of taking a venue, destination or resort and implementing a strategy as to increase revenue, working with third party operators and raising the profile is vitally important.

The role requires the appointee to be dynamic in their approach to communication. They should be comfortable managing a diverse mix of stakeholders from local suppliers to the high-profile owner of the property.

It is expected that the Property and Facilities Manager will come from a hospitality and Facilities Management background and have an exceptional eye for detail. Moreover, they should be capable of managing a direct workforce in order to achieve the exceptionally high standards set. The successful candidate will be involved in the historical or heritage preservation of the estate, with an aim to running the property as effectively as possible in conjunction with the rest of the management structure. Through careful management and coordination, you'll seek to solve problems and maximise financial returns from the estate. To this end, financial acumen and planning ability is vital to the role. You'll also work to improve other areas, such as health outcomes or improved social integration.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone based in or around Dubrovnik, Croatia, and will involve spending 6 months per year on location and 6 months of the year working remotely while taking regular trips to the property on a monthly basis. The role will offer a generous salary of up to EUR60,000 per annum for the right person.
