The Strand Campus is part way through a programme of redevelopment, which includes a major renovation of the Quad Building (£47 million).

Reporting to the Associate Director of Contracts and Performance, the Furniture Co-ordinator is a newly created role within the estates and facilities directorate. Acting as the key communication point between internal college stakeholders and external managing agents, you will act as the expert advisor for all furniture and space planning related matters and queries. This is a diverse role covering the full range of responsibilities including the development of design briefs and extensive contract management, from tendering and pricing of projects through to on-site installation and aftercare.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills as this is a stakeholder engagement role. Strong organisational and programme management skills are essential due to the number of concurrent project streams to be managed across our multi-site and diverse campuses. You will be passionate about sustainability to develop our ‘warp it’ scheme ( ). An innovative approach to design and workplace solutions is essential. A full understanding or strong demonstrable knowledge of CAD is vital too as you will read and interpret designs.
