Fire Safety Manager

£46,792 to £54,094 per annum plus excellent benefits including 42 days annual leave and the USS pension scheme.

The LSE Estates Division is responsible for development and implementation of the LSE Estates Strategy supporting the School's strategic objectives, and fire safety compliance forms a crucial part of this.

The Fire Safety Manager will support the Estates Team in all aspects of the delivery of a high quality and professional service to ensure compliance with current fire safety legislation, standards and promote a positive fire safety culture amongst the staff and student body that maintains a working environment that is at minimum risk of fire. Support the Division and the School in the management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.

We are seeking individuals with a proven track record in the development and implementation of a fire safety strategy across a multi-site estate, and the experience in providing professional fire safety advice and guidance in accordance with The Regulatory Reform Order 2005, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. To liaise, in particular, with the Capital Development team in relation to the provision and advice on the fire safety implications of new building projects and refurbishments.

The successful candidate will ideally possess a fire risk assessment qualification and memberships of a relevant fire professional body. You will have a thorough knowledge of fire safety legislation, Building Regulations, British Standards and have experience in conducting Fire Risk Assessments.
