We are working with SAV Group, a property development and investment company based in the heart of Mayfair, London. Made up of a strong and close knit team of individuals, SAV Group is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to join their high calibre team. The central purpose of the role will be to take ownership of financial reporting and support the stakeholders in providing up-to date financial information in relation to core property development business, as well as other investment/operational companies in a group.

You are organised, productive, and honest, above all else showing a passion for integrity in your role. In a relatively flat organisational structure you will have the opportunity, and be encouraged to bring new ideas for the company and will not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved in order to help the company thrive.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Take ownership of Monthly/Quarterly Statutory P&Ls and Balance Sheets as well as taking responsibility for monthly statutory P&L variance analysis vs budget/forecast
  • Maintain accurate cash flows for all projects and approximately 6 group companies within the first month
  • Create and review monthly and annual management reports and budgets to identify results, trends, savings and financial forecasts with KPI reporting (detailed)
  • Present financial reports to Directors
  • Ensure compliance with all debt obligations and financial covenants
  • Maintain company bank accounts, accounts payable and receivables
  • Research and implementation of tax planning solutions
  • You will be expected to learn, progress and advance in your immediate field further

To be considered for this role you must possess;

  • Minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent from reputable university
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA 2 years PQE
  • Previous experience in real estate is preferred as you will be expected to understand real estate aspects and terminology straight away
  • Strong interpersonal, presentational, quantitative, written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • “Can do attitude” with attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of accounting software (Xero, Sage, etc.)
