Bordering the Thames in Fulham and set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds, The Hurlingham Club is a green oasis of tradition and international renown. Recognised throughout the world as one of Britain’s greatest private members’ clubs, it retains its quintessentially English traditions and heritage, while providing modern facilities and services for its members. The Club continually looks at ways in which it can improve, for both current and future generations, the first-class social and sporting facilities within an elegant and congenial ambience.

Reporting to the Secretary/Chief Executive, the Estates Executive will be responsible for delivering a safe, well organised experience that exceeds the expectations of members, guests and other visitors to the Club. The post holder will oversee all aspects of day to day soft services in addition to overseeing the planning and delivery of an extensive maintenance/minor works programme. You will be supported by a management team of four across grounds, maintenance, projects and cleaning.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of leading a customer facing FM team in a similar prestigious environment and have demonstrable experience in creating a culture of service excellence. You will be adept in people management including mentoring, motivating and developing staff. Excellent organisational and planning skills are also essential including the effective performance management of external suppliers. Previous public venue expertise in a high public footfall environment would be advantageous.

We are particularly seeking to maximise the potential of our history, brand and physical environment from a property and FM perspective. We are, therefore, seeking candidates who have a track record of successfully operating in similar best in class environments. Given the diverse nature of the stakeholder relationships the post holder will proactively manage, the successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable in working in a collaborative environment.
