UCL Estates is seeking to appoint a Director, Infrastructure on a fixed term contract with a specific mandate to lead a transformation programme across the all aspects of hard FM provision.

The Director, Infrastructure reports to the Deputy Director of Estates and is responsible for leading strategy, development and integrated operational delivery of infrastructure, engineering and maintenance services to ensure the estate and associated infrastructure is fit for purpose, legally compliant, providing high levels of customer service and meeting other institutional priorities and initiatives.

During the term of the appointment the Director of Infrastructure is required to undertake a review of the services delivery model provided by the team and provided recommendation for transformational change and implement the agreed changes. It is anticipated that the initial review, design and delivery of a new operating model will be delivered within a 12 to 18 month timeframe.

We are seeking an individual with proven experience in a senior leadership role with responsibility for leading hard FM provision across a large scale, complex and diverse estate portfolio. You will have demonstrable experience in leading change and transformation programmes resulting in performance improvement in a hard FM environment and will therefore have a results focused and committed disposition. An essential element of the role is to lead and motivate an in-house multidisciplinary team of some 100 staff, therefore experience of successfully leading large scale in-house teams through organisational change programmes is essential.
