The Role

Following a period of sustained growth through acquisition, Dukes Education is now looking to appoint a Compliance Director who will report directly into the Governing body.

As a key part of the Leadership team, this individual will be responsible for ensuring that systems and processes are in place to effectively manage all Health & Safety, Risk and Compliance matters across the organisation.

Working in an advisory capacity with the leadership teams at the individual settings, the Compliance Director will ensure all relevant stakeholders are fully aware of the regulatory requirements and standards. They will then develop and implement systems, controls, testing, assurances and training to yet further embed a culture of compliance and reflect the importance of this function across the Group.

At a group level, this individual will also need to draw on their knowledge and insight to influence strategy and to successfully assess the acquisition of new ventures whilst continually reassessing the operational risk posed by technology and data protection laws.

Given the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a breadth and depth of skill sets. Meticulous in your approach, you will be an exceptional problem-solver with a strong analytical, data-driven work style. Possessing the ability to drive consensus across cross-functional teams and influence decision making at board level is a prerequisite. As is the ability to promote a culture of open, transparent communication and to champion a spirit of collaboration.
