Job Description

Closes: 14 February 2021

Founded in 2015, Dukes Education is collection of the UK’s finest nurseries, schools and colleges, as well as summer schools and consultancy services — all united in their passion for nurturing students and helping them thrive.

Little Dukes is the early years’ arm of our group — with independent nurseries in London, Richmond upon Thames, and Worthing.

Dukes Education is now looking for a Bursar to play a key role in the effective and efficient provision of the financial management of Miss Daisy’s Nursery Schools.

Miss Daisy’s Nurseries are well-known and loved among local parents for creating closely-knit communities, developing happy and confident children, and helping parents to send their children to some of London’s best preparatory schools.

Based out of the Head Office in Waterloo Place, the successful candidate will have financial and operational oversight for the schools in Belgravia, Brook Green, Chelsea, Hyde Park and Knightsbridge. Possessing strong financial experience and organisational skills, you will continue to build robust systems and procedures to support your processes. Reporting directly to the Principal, the post holder will be responsible for managing budgets and fulfilling the day-to-day financial tasks of staff contracts and payroll, payments, income and asset management. In addition, they will be expected to produce management accounts.

With an excellent eye for detail and strong interpersonal and communications skills, this is an exciting new post for a highly motivated and energetic practitioner to add value by providing highly quality financial support and analysis.

Whilst an accounting qualification is not essential, successful candidates must have substantial financial experience within an educational setting or for an organisation with a similar stakeholder composition.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to work under pressure and prioritise accordingly are also a prerequisite.
