The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world's largest law schools. With an impressive history dating back to 1876, we employ over 900 staff and have over 14,000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with an alumni network in excess of 100,000.

We were the first-ever independent institution to be granted degree awarding powers and in 2012 we gained university title. With a rich heritage and a reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices, we continuously focus on developing the best legal and business minds. In 2016, we opened our leading Business School, further enhancing our reputation as a full service legal, business and educational training specialist, operating from campuses throughout the UK, Berlin and Hong Kong and an Online campus. This is an exciting time to be joining the institution as we are looking to grow our programme portfolio and diversify into different subject areas

The University is seeking to establish a new high-performance dedicated and centralised service for the delivery of ULaw’s assessments instruments. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the newly created post of Director of Assessment Organisation and Delivery will provide strategic centralised leadership and cross-function planning of the University’s assessment requirements. The postholder will manage dedicated central teams as a combined ‘operational delivery’ and ‘central quality unit’. You will agree and sign off robust service level agreements with departments on which delivery is dependent ensuring that assessment instruments are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. You will ensure that principles of quality assurance are embedded at each stage of the delivery process with a focus on enhancing the ULaw Student Journey.

The successful candidate will be process driven, organised and methodical with high attention to detail. You will have demonstrable experience of operating successfully within a complex stakeholder environment and be able to excel in a matrix management structure across a multi-site environment. You will be positive and proactive, be a role model for diligence, accountability and have a dedication to quality. This role will suit individuals who are passionate about transformation and change.

For a confidential discussion and a copy of our detailed candidate briefing pack, please contact our retained advisor Sian Gardiner at the Management Recruitment Group or alternatively 020 3962 9900.

Applications should consist of a CV and covering letter and should be sent to.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 5th September 2021.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University - which does not reflect our diverse student body - we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
