Specification and Bid Manager - 35-45k Basic plus commission

Working in new build and refurbishment projects specifiying cutting edge uniqpe products into Architects, Designers, M&E consultants and fit out contractors.

My client is a well funded start up on huge growth trajectory. They are a multifaceted business selling through several varied routes to market.

The business is sells smart Hand dryers full of disrupting technology. They are SMART internet enabled, messaging, with high definition video as well as energy saving and resource cost saving through integration with building management.

The smart technology measures usage and shares data with facilities management to allow accurate resource allocation of cleaners to ensure high hygiene standards. They top of the range in terms of energy efficiency on the market place. The videos and advertising are targeted and only on when in use to capture the audience allowing per view sales and revenue share with their clients to provide extra savings and ongoing residual income.

The role will include:

  • You will be responsible for identifying (work with industry new construction project platforms) and ensure the companies products are specified in new build and refurbishment projects and within our verticals with specifiers, architects, consultants and fit out contractors, across all segments and in the agreed market(s).
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of identifying new build projects in all company territories in the UK and Internationally from early design to specification.
  • Successful track record of writing, negotiating and winning bids, tenders and specifications of products and services in the building services industry.
  • Lobby government driving new performance specifications improving industry best practice
  • Building relationships with Architects, Consultants, Clients and company key accounts to ensure PSL status is achieved
  • Advise on the technical specification and the commercial benefits of different products for each project.
  • Providing constructive feedback from architects/consultants/clients to the Project teams for improvements and increased competitiveness.
  • Analysing and forming potential new partner relationships for the products.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities; provide action plans and follow up on implementation
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers.
  • Good rounded construction knowledge,
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Understanding of costs.
  • Interpersonal skills at all levels within the business, client, and supplier organisations
