University of the Arts London is a higher education institution specialising in art, design, fashion and media. We are a collegiate university comprising six constituent colleges: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Arts.

Reporting to the Associate Director Catering, Retail and Accommodation, the role is responsible for providing a first-class customer orientated service for University students in the provision of safe, secure and affordable accommodation. In addition to leading and motivating staff responsible for buildings for which UAL has responsibility; you will also be the principle liaison between the University and all external accommodation providers. The remit covers a portfolio of 4 existing buildings in addition to mobilising a new hall which is an exciting project for us.

Accommodation Services at UAL is one of UK’s leading departments and is renowned for being a dynamic and lively department focused on providing an innovative and supportive student experience. The successful candidate will possess significant experience of operational management in a similar consumer led environment (residential, hospitality, hotels etc.) and on a comparable scale. You will have extensive experience of leading teams, with a proven track record of implementing change management and delivering performance improvement. A high level of commercial acumen is vital, with experience of budget management including setting and achieving financial targets a key aspect of the role.

In this customer focused role, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude are absolutely essential.
