A leading national main contractor delivering schemes throughout the UK is looking to appoint a roaming Site Manager / Quality Manager.

This role will suit a Site Manager who is looking to step away from the day to day running of a site and work more remotely and visiting multiple sites, you also have the opportunity and flexibility to work from home to complete all reports.

Their current live sites are Thames Valley, London, Surrey, Kent and Bristol. You will have the flexibility to visit these sites when needed and work remotely from home as well; all training courses will be provided at the expenses of the company.

Sectors they cover are Student Accommodation, Health, Commercial, Leisure and Education with values to £150m.

Outline responsibilities of the role include:

  • Advise on all current occupational H&S and environmental legislation
  • Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained.
  • Report to top management on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvement.
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
  • Liaise with the external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits to ensure compliance with company Health & Safety / Environment / Quality System
  • Maintain/promote liaison with officials and professional bodies (e.g. HSE, ROSPA, IOSH, BSI, EA etc.)
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice
  • To report to senior management on compliance / non-compliance with safety, environmental and quality system and suggest / promote ways of improving performance
  • Review Project Management Plans and associated documents

You will be proven within a Site Manager / Quality Manager role and have a track record of stable employment history gained from working for recognised main contractors.

On offer for this Site Manager / Quality Manager position is a basic salary of up to £57,000 per annum plus a comprehensive benefits package.
