We have been appointed by one of London’s most recognised and successful residential developers to conduct a search for a Construction Planner to work alongside their Senior Planner multiple medium to high rise Residential schemes across London, splitting time between sites and their regional office in Essex.

The role:

To provide a timely, effective and professional total planning service for proposals and projects/phases typically up to £75m within a specific division or allocated live project.

Work independently (within an established framework) on allocated live or future projects.

The ideal candidate would have: experience working in contracting and pre contract for a large developer or closely with ( e.g. for a main contractor on large residential developments)

Delivered coordinated new build, refurbishment, and fit out schemes. You will have had exposure to both pre planning, pre-construction and delivery stages of a project.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Planner with Asta Power project
  • Provide full phase programmes, with input into logistic plans, logistic sequence drawings and progress tracking schedules, all developed with project teams and external parties.
  • Monitor construction against client and project team delivery programmes.
  • Assist project team with working programmes and sub contract planning schedules.
  • Broad knowledge of different construction sequences and methods.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholder e.g. client and consultancies
  • Some commercial awareness of the contractual implications of common forms of contract would be beneficial.
  • Ability to lead and mentor less experienced team members
  • Ability to identify opportunities for value engineering and achieve best value prime cost and achieve best prime cost.
