I am currently recruiting for a Head of Bid Management for a growing infrastructure consultancy.

About the role

  • Responsible for operations, planning and delivery of all bid and proposal related projects
  • You will take responsibility for a current P&L of £1.2mil per year turnover
  • Take lead of the bid team, including senior bid managers, bid managers, proposals managers and bid writers
  • Recruit and grow the bid team
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline
  • Development of client quotes, based on an agreed scope of works
  • Ownership and monthly reporting on profit and loss
  • Develop bid strategy, including win theme workshops and client engagement plans
  • Lead solution development workshops and liaise with key client and partner SME’s
  • Reviewing bid content as part of the quality assurance process
  • Coordinate the bid programme activities and outputs
  • Leading on bid governance activities
  • Coordinate commercial and pricing strategy and output
  • Apply client bid feedback to future responses to drive continuous improvement
  • Lead / Support market analysis activity for a range of clients
  • Lead / Support business development activities, including preparing and delivering pitches
  • Support the development of marketing materials

About you

You will have 10+ years experience within bids, with demonstrable leadership skills managing and developing a team. You must have excellent communication, organisational, written and numerical skills, have the ability to understand technical details working with SME’s and be confident managing a busy workload, with multiple deadlines. Ideally you will come from an infrastructure / civil engineering / construction background, and have experience running a P&L. My client is seeking a seasoned head of bids but would also be open to a senior bid manager who is ready to take a step up. This role offers hybrid working (Sheffield) but applicants must be willing to travel to client sites across the UK as and when required. Package details

The salary is £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience. This role also comes with a company car and up to 10% bonus.
