About the client

On behalf of our client, a private sector consultancy, MRG Interim Executives are currently recruiting for a FM Mobilisation Consultant to take on a 4 to 6-month contract. Based in the West Midlands, this role will support a national private sector landlord in the tender and appointment of a M&E and Fabric contractor. They require additional resource to help with the contract mobilisation from pre-award through to handover and past 1-month obligations.


Immediately seconded into the client’s office, the FM Mobilisation Consultant will work with the Property Director and wider internal team. You will work closely to support them at the end of the tender stage and then lead the mobilisation phase, seamlessly handing over the project to the project lead and support the project team during the transition to a steady state.

The FM Mobilisation Consultant will design, implement and manage a mobilisation project plan that delivers the contract obligations, meets the targeted milestones and promotes the clients and the project specific principles. The role will include responsibilities for creating, managing and reporting on the project plan, risk register, obligation matrices. This role will be pivotal in communicating and co-ordinating all mobilisation activity with the client and third-party stakeholders

The contract will cover over 1,200 units and 15 distribution centres across the UK.

Candidate Requirements

As an experienced FM Mobilisation specialist, you will have prior experience working on a national mobilisation, live project environment for hard FM services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and publish an agreed project plan setting out all tasks, milestones and responsibilities
  • Align project plan with the client team
  • Project manage the plan identifying and resolving issues
  • Manage a contract obligations matrix, including allocation of tasks to the contract team, completion of obligations to time/quality requirements and escalation of issues and risks
  • Proactive engagement with the client and incumbent supplier teams to ensure delivery of the contract objectives.
  • To implement and manage a mobilisation governance and reporting regime
  • To act as an ambassador of the contract team
  • Publish, manage and report on the mobilisation programme to ensure all milestones are met, risks managed, and governance requirements adhered to.
  • Achievement of all mobilisation and 1st month live obligations are met

It is a strong preference that the postholder will possess a formal FM qualification. However, consideration will be given to candidates with a strong track record and are deemed to meet the rest of the role requirements.
