UCL Accommodation has set out an ambitious new vision of becoming the leading provider of accommodation in the HEI sector; delivering an exceptional student experience and is embarking on new strategy to delivery this vision. The UCL accommodation team manage 26 halls which are home to 6500 students.


Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Deputy Head of Operations will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership and motivation to the team, ensuring the effective provision of world class student accommodation. You will lead and direct UCL owned beds, delivering best in class customer service through your teams and ensuring standardised operational excellence across the halls.

Person Specification

The successful candidate can expect their days to be diverse, demanding, interesting and enriching, as they strive to provide a home from home for the residents. You will have demonstrable experience in leading operational teams in a consumer led environment (residential, hospitality, hotels, apartments etc.) and on a comparable scale. A proven track record of delivering excellence in a customer driven environment. A high level of leadership and communication is required, alongside experience of budget management. You will be used to working in a regional role with travel between sites.
