The University of Law is one of the UK’s longest established specialist providers of legal education. The University can trace its origins to 1876. We were the first ever independent institution to be granted degree awarding powers, gaining university title (The University of Law) in 2012. The University was bought by Global University Systems (GUS) in 2015 and is a private University.

The University has more than 10,000 students and employs c.800 staff. The University of Law’s Estate covers 14 locations across the UK and Hong Kong. Our portfolio comprises nine distinct campuses in eight UK cities. The University also has a further four satellite operations based within other University campuses across England.

Reporting to the Head of Admissions, you will be a crucial senior member of staff within the Admissions function as a whole and will be expected to support other senior staff within the department ensuring that the team works in a close and collaborative manner. The post holder will balance ownership of a specific admissions work stream with the additional responsibilities of deputising for the Head of Admissions. You will take full responsibility for the day to day workflow of the Admissions Officers ensuring resources are always utilised to their full capacity to achieve set targets.

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in creating teams, managing performance, building relationships and developing a collaborative culture with a wide variety of stakeholders. You will have strong attention to detail with a background in the management of applicant pipelines. The role will suit individuals who are calm under pressure, positive with strong people management skills. Experience in student recruitment, marketing and widening participation would be advantageous although not essential.
