A leading University is looking to appoint a Communications Officer to join alongside the communications team who work to deliver exceptional support for its students.

Overview

Reporting into the Communications Manager, the Communication Officer will contribute the implementation and evaluation of the student communication and engagement activities. This role will have a direct impact on the student experience and is key interface between the university and the student population.

Working within a fast paced environment you will deliver the communication strategy and lead a number of key projects across various platforms including online and offline media, ensuring effective communication that is targeted correctly.

Person Specification

You will be a self-starter, with the experience of working with different types of audiences and be able to utilise the appropriate communication channels. You will have experience working across communication platforms including websites, e- newsletters and social media.

You will be creative in your approach, creating digestible and relevant material to communicate with students who are based on site of the University. The ideal candidate should have a formal qualification in English, PR or Marketing.

You will have previous experience working within a communications officer role, ideally with experience communicating to young adults.
