I am currently recruiting for a Bid Manager for an IT Service Provider. This role is remote with occasional travel to North Yorkshire (1-2 times per month).

About the role

  • Managing the bid lifecycle, from formal tender through to contract closure
  • Monitor and manage the tender portals and liaise with the relevant Head of Sales to review opportunities
  • Management of the bid email inbox and reports
  • Manage and facilitate the bid qualification process, ensuring feedback is gathered from relevant Heads of Department to make a bid decision
  • Escalate any bid decisions to senior management and gain formal sign off on any final decisions
  • Work with the sales owner and key stakeholders across the business to develop a compelling and professional solution proposal
  • Responsible for the production and submission of bids and proposals on time and via the appropriate methods
  • Working closely with the sales lead to organise presentations, demos and other relevant sales collateral to facilitate all aspects of the bid/sales process
  • Ensuring all written bid and proposal collateral is compelling
  • Ensuring that at the various stages of a bid, the appropriate key stakeholders inputs are received, collated, reviewed, signed off and submitted
  • Leading on the completion of PQQ’s with minimal direct input from others
  • Leading on the completion of all RFP / ITT responses and other associated bid documentation
  • Management of all bid documents ensuring a shared document repository is set up and updated as needed
  • Proof-read all bid and proposal documentation to ensure it is formatted, reads well and to a high standard
  • Manage and update the bid content within the bid library to ensure it remains up to date
  • Support the sales lead to organise commercial review meetings, providing input into the meeting when required
  • Ensuring sign-off is achieved at the key stages of the bid, according to the Bid Approval process

About you

You will be an experienced bid professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience writing and managing winning bids. You must have strong communication skills, time keeping skills and the ability to work with people at all levels, internally and externally. My client wants someone who has a creative flair when it comes to writing, to ensure that they stand out from their competitors by thinking outside the box. Strong working knowledge of MS office is essential, as is a passion for winning!!
