Business Development Coordinator - London

We are seeking a self-motivated Business Development Coordinator to support our Interiors Team. We are looking for a candidate with experience of working and preparing high quality bid documentation for a range of private, multi-sector opportunities. You will take a leading role in coordinating bids and proposals working alongside our partners throughout the process to generate high quality bid content. This will be crucial to the success of the role.

You will have specific responsibility for key areas including but not limited to: maintaining a bid pipeline tracker to manage opportunities, resources and deadlines; establishing key win themes for every bid working with relevant stakeholders, managing a timetable for each bid and securing contributions from relevant stakeholders to deadline; ensuring content is aligned to win themes and is compliant with bidding criteria, using Indesign, Word and Powerpoint as required to create submission material; working with tender portals to upload to deadline and continuously looking to improve all bid material and documentation.

You will be joining a highly successful independent team and market leaders in their sector. Our team are driven, proven self-starters and work winners with a BD strategy already established across multiple sectors. We need a skilled communicator to share and coordinate workload with another BD coordinator, to focus on content creation to support bids including case studies, CVs and bid library content, along with preparing strategic client presentations. The successful candidate will also support the team assisting in organising Business Development events and initiatives for clients and key stakeholders.

As with all BD work, this can be a high pressure role which sometimes, though not always, requires you to work outside of core business hours to meet deadlines. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about BD and have the drive and willingness to embrace this role fully and make it their own.

Skills and Experience

  • Resilient team player with a proactive approach to bid coordination
  • Good attention to detail with a desire to ‘get it right’
  • Copywriting for bids
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and multi-task projects
  • Proficient experience of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. is required
  • Intermediate or expert user of Adobe Indesign; or prepared to learn and upskill in this key area
  • BD experience gained in construction, professional services or consultancy would be useful

Team Environment

You will be working with a range of different stakeholders in a collaborative and agile manner including fellow BD professionals. You will also have close ties to the central marketing team and will be provided with support and guidance from our in-house BD specialists to help you to grow within this role.
