We are working with a well known Residential Development business who build desirable homes across the capital for both open sale and affordable housing and predominantly work on schemes of up £150m in value.

Having successful managed the first phase of a 480 unit scheme in Bow, East London for a well known Housing Association, they are imminently starting the next phase of 180 units which will provide much needed new housing stock to the local area.

They are seeking to appoint 2 Assistant Site Managers with a proven background in Residential Contracting on either Traditional Build or RC Frame schemes. You have worked on large scale residential schemes in excess of 150 units and will be able to manage external and internal packages.

Our client has exacting standards and are looking for people with excellent construction experience from either a Trade or Academic background who have spent a number of years working on residential projects. On top of the above knowledge, they are looking for all round managers that have had previous experience of working on external and internal elements of a projects rather than ( package management)

Working under the supervision of a Site Manager & Project Manager you will:

  • Supervise and oversee the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs.
  • Coordinating and supervising Sub-Contractors.
  • Make safety inspections and ensure construction and site safety at all times.
  • Check and prepare site reports.
  • Maintain quality control procedures.
  • Assess and minimise risk.
  • Write reports and keep on top of paperwork.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an Assistant Site Manager
  • Full project lifecycle experience
  • CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid as a minimum
  • Residential experience on RC Frame or Traditional Build
  • Stable career history
  • Trade or Academic background
  • Residential Contracting experience

On offer is a basic salary of between £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, company car / allowance, pension, healthcare, rail travel, fuel card, 25 days annual leave and the opportunity to progress within the business.
