We are seeking to appoint a Senior Engineering Manager – Mechanical to be subject matter expert of Harrods critical mechanical infrastructure, distribution and associated asset base. The successful candidate will be the mechanical lead for the Harrods property portfolio, as well as being responsible for the day to day operational management of the 24/7 mechanical shift team, providing leadership and support to ensure best practice. They will develop engineering strategies to ensure the resilience of the department, and ensure the team meet sustainability targets in accordance with the Sustainability Committee.

Reporting to the head of FM, you will contribute to the implementation and management of the Capital Investment Plan and delivery of the maintenance strategy for all mechanical systems throughout the estate. As part of the senior leadership team, you will undertake the duty manager role as required, responsible for the delivery of all facility services across the estate.

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic, inspiring and inclusive leader, with demonstrable experience of leading and motivating management and 24/7 shift teams. Demonstrating a track record of driving continuous performance improvement, you will be an excellent communicator with extensive experience ‘best in class’ customer facing team.

A qualified mechanical engineer, ideally to degree level with relevant professional memberships and accreditations.
