People and Culture Business Partner.

West London Zone, is seeking to appoint a People & Culture Business Partner to join this existing team. You will play a key role in the continued growth of this charitable organisation that supports the younger generation thrive in their community. 

West London Zone is a charity that was inspired by the world’s first children's zone – the ground-breaking Harlem Children Zone (HCZ), later rolled out across 20 US states as President Obama's promise neighbourhoods programme. We have children and young people build the relationships and skills they need to get on track socially, emotionally and academically. We believe that by targeting these key areas of development we can empower children to fulfil their potential.

Due to the continued growth and in line with our ambitious 5-year growth strategy, we are seeking to expand our people function by appointing a proactive and inclusive professional to lead West London Zone’s HR function. This newly created role will support the People and Culture Director and will play a key role in the successful delivery of the ‘people and culture strategy.’  You will have the opportunity to lead on initiatives across all areas of people management with the end goal of building and developing talent, with a focus on enriching employee experience.

As a suitable candidate, you will have proven experience as an HR Generalist, with good understanding of recruitment, training & development, ER and pay and benefits. You will be a self-starter who embraces and fosters a culture of change, who has a commitment to EDI and the ability to promote best practise at work. It is preferable you are CIPD qualified, with experience ideally gained within either an educational establishment or Charity.
