About the role

The Management Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with our client, for the appointment of Hospitality Manager for an exciting, luxury island resort development in the MENA region.

The role will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations of the island’s hospitality assets and service standards.  Co-ordinating with the operators and department heads in the successful running of the resorts.

Reporting to and working as a close 2IC to the Head of Hospitality; the successful person will oversee the implementation of standard operating procedures and oversee the performance of the Hotel assets in line with the hotel management agreements.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of an ambitious project that is in its infancy, where you will have the opportunity to assist in overseeing the performance of the Golf Club and Beach Club and Sports Centre, in line with the hotel management agreements.

 

Key Accountabilities

You will be responsible for:

  1. Coordinating with the procurement team to provide input on proposals and contracts and supporting the campaigns for requiring partnerships
  2. Maintaining and creating partnerships amongst business partners to develop strategies to increase revenue for their companies while building the brand through marketing and events
  3. Conducting daily and weekly meetings with marketing for guest conversion rates and identifying opportunities to grow the business
  4. Maintaining & monitoring operational and overhead costs to maintain maximum revenue to the organisation
  5. Ensuring the premises are in operative condition as per timelines to receive and serve the guests
  6. Inspecting the different departments with their respective Manager’s for high standards of cleanliness, service readiness, ambience, hospitality culture and staff grooming
  7. Analysing the effectiveness of current reporting processes to identify any trouble areas or bottlenecks – providing technical expertise in resolving them.
  8. Research on relevant markets to highlight economic factors and marketing conditions
  9. Reporting trends to immediate senior through analysis of assets performance data using standard analytical and statistical techniques

You will need to be

  1. Highly organised with an excellent command of the English language – written and spoken
  2. Strong in customer service knowledge
  3. An astute business acumen, very analytical, with good financial reporting knowledge
  4. An expert in pre-opening, particularly within the Middle East – with a demonstrable track record to match
  5. Ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements, whilst managing multiple priorities

Background, Skills, and Qualifications

  1. 10 -12 years’ experience in Hospitality
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management
  3. Exceptional leadership skills and an ability to connect with people to drive successful relationships
