Based at the UCA campus in Farnham Surrey (hybrid) The Director of Recruitment and Admissions is one of three key senior leadership positions who report to the PVC and will hold responsibility for driving a holistic recruitment and admissions service that works in close partnership and seamlessly integrates with other directorates.
UCA is embarking on its largest change programme in its history, ‘Transformation 2024’ which will see us strengthen our global impact, the impact of our curriculum and support for our people. To support this vision, we have undertaken a major review of our student recruitment and marketing functions.
The Director of Recruitment and Admissions is one of three key senior leadership positions who report to the PVC (Portfolio Development and Global Engagement). The postholder will provide both strategic leadership, with the responsibility for the development and delivery of the University’s Recruitment and Admissions Strategy and hands-on operational management, driving a holistic recruitment and admissions service that works in close partnership and seamlessly integrates with other directorates.
As the glue that holds our recruitment and admissions strategy together, you will oversee, coordinate and facilitate the delivery of a world leading applicant journey. You will bring with you valuable experience that will give you the ability to seek out and tackle the challenges that such an ambitious transformation of our institution demands.
The successful candidate will be a driven, dynamic, results focused individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and a track record of success within a comparable sales focused environment (ideally within Higher Education). You will possess excellent leadership qualities with demonstrable experience of developing and managing highly successful teams.
At UCA, we believe that creativity makes global communities more vibrant, more innovative, more human. Which is why, for 160 years, our university has been a passionate advocate for creative education and research. We want to inspire people to use their creativity to drive change, overcome challenges and improve the lives of others. Our campuses across Surrey and Kent, our Institute for Creative Innovation in Xiamen, China, and our homes within partner organisations such as the Royal School of Needlework and Maidstone Television Studios all have one thing in common: They are places to forge inspiring partnerships, make work with purpose and build real solutions to human problems across the globe – whether that’s as part of our vibrant teaching and research community, or as a student on one of our courses.
