Based in South Africa, I am the Recruitment Administrator at MRG for the amazing Global team. Focusing on key client accounts in Saudi Arabia and related supply chain partners, and assisting with day-to-day responsibilities for my team.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
I have been fortunate enough to build my skill set and experience in positions that stretched over different sectors in South Africa. This has allowed me to further my career with MRG and be part of projects that are changing people’s lives across the world.
How did you get into recruitment, and why?
After returning from the Netherlands an opportunity opened up for me at a Recruitment company in South Africa and I jumped at the chance to work in a people oriented industry.
What energises you about working in this sector?
I enjoy the fast-paced environment and being part of large-scale projects around the world. I’m constantly learning new things and it motivates me to get out of my comfort zone.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?
I would say the technology and how platforms and opportunities have grown to reach and recruit people all around the world.
What do you think the biggest misconception people have about you is?
I think when people first meet me, I can come across as quiet or introverted, but I enjoy getting to know people, and a lot of times I’m the opposite.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I love playing sports and played for the provincial netball team where I’m staying in South Africa.
What’s the best advice anyone has every given you?
I’ve received a lot of great advice over the years but one that stuck with me recently is to “Be the best YOU, you can possibly be”. It challenges me to give my best in every aspect of my life daily and it makes me think of new heights I’m capable of reaching.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
I only recently joined the team so it would be interesting to hear what they would say.
