An excellent opportunity for a Business Development Executive has arisen to join an international professional services business that provide engineering consultancy, design, planning and project management services across the buildings, infrastructure and environmental sectors. The Business Development Executive will work within a dynamic work winning team, focusing on the North West, Yorkshire and Scottish regions based in between the Leeds, Manchester and Edinburg Offices.
The Business Development Executive will work with the marketing and bidding teams to build knowledge, opportunities and contacts to support the work winning operation. The role will identify key business opportunities within the regions, gaining market knowledge to help formulate the best approach for pursuits. Business Development activities may involve running events, attending networking functions and leading pitches through various channels deemed best for the opportunity.
The Business Development Executive will work closely with other UK BD team members and will report into the Partner spearheading the business development of the company, becoming the key point of contact for business development activities within allocated markets, providing support to strategic bids in this area.
The Business Development Executive should have previous marketing and business development experience, ideally within a similar sector e.g. construction, architecture or engineering consultancy. Due to the nature of business development you must be a confident, proactive character with the ability to take charge in challenging situations. You will have strong influencing skills and the ability to form relationships across all levels of the business, suppliers and clients.
