An award winning leading provider in the engineering and construction sector is looking to appoint 3 M&E Project Managers to their already well established team. They deliver outstanding projects which meet and exceed client expectations, and their clients include well-known names and brands throughout the UK.
They provide building consultancy, construction, installation and process engineering to a wide range of clients. The business operates major contracts which can include principal contracting, large scale subcontracting and specialist services. These contracts are typically based throughout the UK and supported by nationwide offices, with a strong presence in major cities.
5 years plus, Project Managing Mechanical, Cleanroom or Design & Build projects with a value £5m+
Experience in managing employees and contracted workforce across multiple trades / disciplines
Strong market / sector knowledge
Background in industry ideally including one of the following specialist areas: mechanical, pipework, cleanrooms, electrical control and instrumentation or design and build.
Must possess valid CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid accreditations.
Proven Capability in the following areas:-
Site & construction management in mechanical, pipework, cleanrooms, EC&I and/or design and build
Proficient in contract administration using NEC and JCT contract forms
Proficient in use of planning tools – e.g. MS Project / Primavera P6
Strong background and experience working under CDM regulations
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Strong computer literacy, especially Excel proficiency
Role Scope & Purpose:-
Financial – P&L and cash flow accountability
Organisational – Project Teams varying from 5 to 50 personnel
Location – London and Home Counties
Background in Mechanical & Process Piping, Cleanroom and Design & Build projects
HSEQ leadership on project including ensuring SSOW & QMS are in place
P&L and Cash flow accountability for the project
Develop project execution plans & strategies in line with the contract, including handover plan
Lead client, external parties & stakeholders relationship management
Establish project programme, procurement and construction schedules
Manage risk & expectations to ensure safe & successful delivery
Source & manage the project team to ensure technical & functional expertise is balanced to safely & successfully deliver
Ensure scope, cost, time & performance are managed to ensure the safe & successful completion of the project
Monitor the scope and programme to identify any variations or extensions of time that should be issued to the client; identify and mitigate if running late
On offer for this M&E Project Manager position is a basic salary of up to £80,000 p.a. plus car allowance / travel allowance and package.
