Summary: The company is a LIFT Co established in 2003, as an independent Ltd Company under PPP. The shareholding is divided between Miller Construction and Barclays (60%), Department of Health (12%) and the NHS trusts of Barking Dagenham and Havering (28%).
BDHCV currently operate 7 Health Centres and 3 Hospitals under Lease Plus Arrangements, whereby the assets are rented to the Clients for a period after which they have an option to purchase the assets for a previously agreed price, or to negotiate further rental terms. The rental that is paid includes capital reduction as well as covering the provision of FM services under a management charge levied by BDHCV. The company does have exclusive framework arrangements with the Boroughs; however they are free to expand their services to other Public Sector Clients in other Boroughs.
BDHCV are now looking to establish and grow their three business streams:
• Public Sector Property Development
• Estate and Asset Management
• Consultancy Services (Project management/Cost Consultancy/ Estate Strategy)
With 15 live projects on the go at the moment, ranging in value from £4K consultancy work to £15M construction of a School and Healthcare Centre, and some £60M worth of assets, the company is looking to double their turnover this year.
The Head Office team consists of Chief Executive, Operations Manager, 2 x Project Managers, Junior Project Manager, and PA/Office Manager. It is a young dynamic, highly motivated team. The Team work with a committed Supply Chain of FM and specialist service providers
In order to continue accelerate this expansion and also to establish some succession planning, there is need to take on additional staff members.
