A leading civil engineering and construction contractor with a turnover over £400 million is looking for a Proposal Manager to join their very busy and very successful work winning team.

Reporting primarily to the Submissions Manager, you will be a significant asset to the Work Winning team, focusing on the management and administration of tenders, as well as the preparation of documents. The key to being successful in this role is your organisation and the ability to manage various projects at one time. You will be required to assist the writing of the technical aspects of the Bid, liaising with specialists and the Submissions Manager to ensure clarity of content whilst maintaining the companies CRM system.

Your main responsibilities will be to assist in the preparation of tendering and marketing materials.

  • Assist in research, analysis and writing of PPQ’s and ITT’s with the support of subject experts
  • Proof read all written material
  • Maintain and develop Library and CRM System
  • Research and create new marketing material for internal and external meetings
  • Assist in the creation of news articles and press releases
  • Support the marketing team in brand guidelines
  • Desktop publish materials as required in InDesign
  • Manage a pipeline of documentation, prioritising and cross-indexing collateral so that it remains current and easily retrievable

The Proposal Manager will be someone who has an excellent grasp on the English Language with experience in a Bid Writing / Copy Writing capacity and an excellent knowledge of the full bid lifecycle. Experience working within the Civil Engineering or Construction industries is desired and experience on Public Sector Tenders is a real advantage.
