A Cambridgeshire based education establishment is seeking to appoint an Interim Project Manager (Minor Works) to join its Estates team on a 6 month contract paying £215 - £230 PAYE + Holiday Pay per day.

Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will be responsible for the management of a number capital projects across both building services and fabric including refurbishment, alteration, fit out and renovation from inception to completion. Typical project values range from £200k up to £1m.

You will also be responsible for:

Contract Administration, and negotiation with consultants and contractors Management of the appointed consultants and contractors both on site and contractually to ensure best service to the end users.

Acting as client representative and point of contact on all appointed schemes continuous liaison with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all parties are satisfied with the work of the development department.

Commercial and programme management of concurrently running projects

You will have:

Experience of project and account management of projects on a comparable scale to those listed above from inception to completion. Experience as a Project Manager in a client side or consultancy role on building services and fabric projects including refurbishments, alterations, new build, fit out and renovation Experience in delivering project management services in a complex environment, for example on behalf of public sector or corporate organisation. An understanding of contact management standard forms of contact and procurement options is essential as well as possessing a strong hands-on approach, with excellent contractor management skills coupled with client facing tact and diplomacy. Preferably possessing a relevant degree and a professional membership
