A rare opportunity has arisen for a Director of Project Management to join a leading construction consultancy. Working closely with the other Directors in the business, you will play an active part in the growth of the business.

Due to the continued growth of the project management team within the Oxford office, they are seeking to appoint a dedicated and driven Project Management Director.

You will play an integral part in both work winning and project delivery and act as lead Project Director on a number of key accounts. You will have additional people management responsibility, with a team of 14 Project Managers from Associates to Assistant Project Managers, you will be responsible for developing the team members, line management and recruitment.

The successful candidate will possess significant experience of managing a range of construction and property projects (valued up to and in excess of £20m) across both the public and private sectors. 

It is expected that you will be actively involved in client development either by further developing existing clients or identifying new clients through existing clients and networking. 

Projects are varied in scale and nature so they are seeking an individual who has a flexible approach, is adaptable and who is capable of managing a portfolio of diverse projects at any one time.

You will have gained experience of working on projects and will experience of providing high-level consultancy services to clients and end users in these sectors. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as you will be required to lead projects across large, complex organisations successfully working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience of managing teams is also highly desirable.

It is essential that you possess Chartered status (MRICS, RIBA, MAPM or MCIOB) and possess a track record in delivering construction related projects preferably within a consultancy environment.
