A customer driven provider of innovative student accommodation is recruiting an Operations Manager for their London and South East region.

This pivotal role within the leadership team is responsible for managing their high profile London and South East properties working with some of the world leading universities.

Main Deliverables

  • You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with both investors , clients and HEI customers;
  • You will have overall financial responsibility for 3113 beds across a diverse portfolio;
  • Managing a team of 10 accommodation managers ensuring consistency across the region, training and developing for best practice;
  • Responsible for all commercial management and tasked with increasing profitability;
  • You will also work with the Director of Operations and Head of Commercial Services on the mobilisation of new schemes allocated to your portfolio;
  • Fostering the company ethos, driving customer satisfaction with pioneering initiatives to deliver a world class service.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent team leadership skills with demonstrable experience of engaging and motivating teams;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, being able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and demonstrate credibility in your area of responsibility;
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations, with good influencing and negotiation skills;
  • Being very organised, able to plan and manage your own and team’s workload without detailed supervision;
  • Ability to analyse and problem solve and be able to use your own initiative and make decisions appropriate for the business;
  • Customer focused and be able to ensure consistently good customer service is delivered by teams not closely managed;
  • Commercial awareness of the different requirements of all stakeholders.

This role would suit a senior manager with experience within hospitality or leisure sector. Ideally with a hospitality or facilities management qualification.

The salary is £55,000 per annum.
