A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy based in central London requires a Chartered (MRICS) Building Surveyor to work on various projects across the Great London area. Salary £50,000 - £60,000 p.a. + benefits

Reporting to the Director of Surveying, you will be responsible for the “front-end” delivery of extension and refurbishment projects; taking client briefs, writing specifications, tender packages as well as associated CAD work. Typical project values will not exceed £750k.

This post will require the successful applicant to undergo a DBS check as well as having a full UK Drivers Licence.

Skills / Experience required:


  • MRICS qualified or equivalent with ideally 3/5 years post qualification experience
  • Have detailed and thorough knowledge of both traditional and modern building construction technology
  • Team player and capable of influencing others to achieve necessary output
  • Proven competency in use of Auto CAD
  • The ability to advise and guide colleagues in a supportive, interactive fashion ensuring that targets are set, action is planned and goals are achieved
  • A strong track record as a professional Building Surveyor, showing the desire for a progressive career structure
  • Experience of property refurbishment and maintenance
  • Experience of controlling quality projects
  • An energetic and motivated professional with natural drive and innovative flair
  • A broad thinker who can take a commercial view of property and asset management
  • A clear thinking person demonstrating attention to detail who is well organised and can operate independently under a broad direction
  • A team player who can develop and maintain good relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both within the Group and outside


  • Diverse knowledge gained from work in both Public and Private Sectors
  • An interest in further developing skills and experience in a wide range of building surveying functions, including facilities and maintenance management, professional surveying work and building pathology
