Due to increased workload and expansion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Bid Writer to join a vibrant and ambitious Highways/Civils business who provide engineering services to the UK transport infrastructure. 

The Bid Writer will liaise with bid managers and their teams to provide editorial support and guidance, so that bids are written to the highest possible standards whilst developing, managing and monitoring the progress of the submission against the bid program. Bid Writers produce high quality and customer focused written material for bid submissions in line with the clients ‘in-house style’ and branding. The Bid Writer is an integral part of the work winning team, who sources and provides information to maximise best practice.

Bid Writer Skills/Knowledge requirements include:

  • A self-starter that is eager to learn and progress within a very “hands on  approach” environment
  • A strong use of oral and written English, with the ability to present complex ideas in a straightforward and easily understandable way
  • Capable to demonstrate records of success in formulating and delivering winning bids/projects
  • Excellent copy-writing skills with the ability to rework technical content for a wider audience
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to work to and meet tight deadlines. 

In return you will receive a salary of up to £33,000 pa, dependent on experience, benefits include pension and an annual leave entitlement of 26 days.
