| Summary: | Due to continued expansion within their mid Essex Head office, they are seeking to recruit an experience Design & Build Manager to join their team.
The suitable candidate will have experience of working within a Residential Developer or Social Housing Contractor, working on new build schemes up to £35 Million in value. Ideally Degree qualified with a minimum of 3 years experience at Management you will have a good understanding of the construction process involving JCT Forms of Contracts, and be IT literate with experience of Excel and Power Projects. You will have experience of Project Design and Managing a Team in the planning, co-ordination and design functions on each allocated project from Tender to Post Contract. Main Responsibilities will include: Main Tasks Instigate all relevant actions detailed within our Operation Procedures. Liaise and act as the main point of contact with Clients. Ensure all co-ordination issues relating to tenders and contract issues are implemented between Design Team, Construction Team, Employers Agent and Client. Prepare and review development and service company costs; technical criteria and progammes for tenders. Control and co-ordinate Design Team meetings to ensure information is produced correctly to financial budget and time constraints. Instigate and process all technical issues during the pre-contract stage of a project. Review and produce on a monthly basis development cost schedule, statutory service cost schedule and CDM statement. Attend where required subcontractor and Project Team meetings to ensure health and safety/design/technical co-ordination details are performed. Assist the Community Development Manager in the preparation and administration of contract requirements for tenant consultation, local employment and training. Produce and update Health and Safety Plans and subsequently the Health and Safety File/Operation and Maintenance Manual. The succesful candidate can expect a basic salary of up to £65,000 per annum, car/allowance, pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday, laptop & Mobile phone, and fuel card.
