| Summary: | DUTIES:
• Design of protection systems at 400kV down to 11kV using modelling software • Provision of design expertise in all aspects of Power Systems protection, including automatic systems for restoring load. • Responsible for the production of Engineering and Test Specifications for new and existing solutions • Production of detailed design drawings for Protection and Control schemes. • Calculating protection settings for HV power systems / substations. • Checking of fault studies and protection setting results. • Configuration of relays. • Giving advice on commissioning stage of projects and undertaking the checking of commissioning documentation. BACKGROUND REQUIRED: An HND / degree qualified Electrical engineer you will ideally have proven track record in design of HV Protection Settings to appropriate codes and standards including connection requirements to National Grid.
